UAUA
UAUA (pronounced as ‘wawa’) was created by parents Kiki and Philippe, who cite their inspiration for the brand as their young children, Liv, Harvey, and Leo. The Dutch mother and Belgian father both love to travel, but felt a special connection to Peru. UAUA translates to ‘baby’ in the Quechuan language, which was the primary language of the Quechua people residing in the Andes all the way back in the 1500s.
In addition to paying homage to the country through the brand name, Kiki and Philippe are passionate about Pima cotton, which is sourced on the coast of Peru. Manufacturing is also done in Peru, while UAUA’s designs are thought-up in Belgium. The brand offers high-quality pieces for children up to four years old that fit and feel so cozy to your little one. They put an emphasis on being sustainable, ethical, and simple.
