When Do Babies Crawl?
There are a lot of changes with your little one in their first few years and there a lot of milestones to look forward to. One of the more exciting moments to experience with your baby is when they begin to crawl because it means that they are ready to move on their own, and everything that follows after will come in the blink of an eye! You may be wondering when you can expect your baby to start crawling, and you’ve come to the right place. While every child is different, most begin to crawl around six to nine months old months old. If you notice your baby rocking back and forth, this means they’re on the cusp of being able to crawl. By around nine months, your baby could be a professional crawler!
It’s important to keep in mind that each baby is different and may not be developmentally ready to crawl at this exact moment, but don’t worry! To teach your baby how to crawl on their own, you can lay them down in a safe environment on a baby blanket and leave their favorite baby toys or shiny objects, such as a baby rattle, just far enough from their reach. They’ll wiggle their body back and forth to try and reach their baby toys and with you cheering on, they’ll be motivated to crawl to it, and once your baby learns to crawl, they’ll never stop moving!
